Home Inspections in the Central Valley
Our home ground: San José and the towns of Alajuela and Heredia around it.
We live and work in the Central Valley. From our base in Grecia we cover the towns around San José, from the coffee hills of the west to the condos and gated communities of Escazú, Santa Ana, Heredia and Belén.
The valley packs a lot of different homes into a small area: older family houses in concrete block, new condo towers, hillside homes with long driveways and retaining walls, and country properties on wells and septic systems. Each brings its own questions, and we inspect each one with the same care.
What we often check closely in the valley
Rainy-season water
Heavy afternoon rain from May to November tests roofs, gutters and drainage. We look for stains, soft spots and water heading the wrong way.
Hillside lots
Many homes sit on slopes. Retaining walls, drainage around the house and cracks in walls and floors get a careful look.
Electrical work
Panels and wiring vary a lot from home to home, especially after additions. We check what we can see and note anything unsafe.
Septic systems
Outside town centres, homes often rely on a septic system. A septic scope shows the condition of the line.
