Home Inspections in Grecia
Our home base, with hillside houses, fincas and new builds on the slopes of Poás.
Grecia is where we live, so it is the area we know best. The town sits on the lower slopes of the Poás volcano in Alajuela, with sugar cane and coffee on the hills around it and a cooler, greener climate than the lower valley.
Homes here range from older houses close to the town centre to fincas, country homes and new builds in the hills. Many are on slopes, many sit on septic systems, and a good number are bought by people moving from abroad who want an inspection in English.
What we look at closely in Grecia
Slopes and drainage
Hillside lots need water carried away from the house. We check grading, retaining walls and signs of movement.
Septic and water
Country homes often have a septic system. We can scope the line in the same visit as your inspection.
Roofs in heavy rain
Long rainy seasons find every weak spot. Our drone and thermal camera help us find leaks before they show.
