Septic Scope Inspections
An HD camera through the drain line, with sonde location, to show what is happening underground.
Many Costa Rica homes send their wastewater to a septic system, and nothing about it shows from the garden. A cracked pipe, roots or a collapsed line can turn into a messy and expensive repair soon after you move in.
We do the septic scope ourselves. An HD camera goes through the line from the house towards the septic system, and a sonde lets us trace and mark where the line runs. You get the photos and video with our notes.
What the scope shows
- Roots growing into the pipe
- Cracked, broken or separated sections
- Blockages, build-up and standing water in the line
- Sags or low spots where waste can collect
- Where the line and the system sit on the property, traced with a sonde
Questions clients ask
Can I add a septic scope to my home inspection?
Yes. We can do the septic scope in the same visit as your home inspection.
Do you use a separate company for the scope?
No. We run the camera and sonde ourselves and include the findings with your inspection.
Will I see the footage?
Yes. You receive photos and video of what the camera found, with our notes on each issue.
