Basic Pool Inspections

Basic Pool Inspections

A visual check of the pool, its deck and its equipment, added to your home inspection.

Many homes in Guanacaste, the Central Pacific and the Central Valley come with a pool, and pools are costly to put right. A basic pool inspection tells you what condition the pool and its equipment are in on the day.

It is a visual inspection. Where we see something that needs a pool specialist, the report says so, so you can get a quote before you commit.

What we look at

  • The pool shell and finish we can see, and the coping and tiles
  • The deck and surfaces around the pool
  • Pump, filter and other equipment, run where it is safe to do so
  • Visible plumbing, valves and leaks at the equipment
  • Visible electrical connections and safety items around the pool

Questions clients ask

Is the pool inspection a separate visit?

No. We do it during your home inspection, so the whole property is covered in one visit.

Do you check for leaks inside the pool?

We report leaks and signs of leaks we can see. A full leak test is a job for a pool specialist, and we say when one is worth getting.
