Thermal Imaging Inspections
An infrared camera that shows hidden moisture, hot electrical parts and insulation gaps.
Some of the costliest problems in a home cannot be seen with the naked eye. A thermal camera shows differences in surface temperature, which can point to water where it should not be or electrical parts running hotter than they should.
In a country with a long rainy season, finding moisture early matters. We use thermal imaging to spot wet areas in ceilings and walls, overheating breakers and connections, and missing or poorly fitted insulation, and we show you the images in your report.
What thermal imaging can reveal
- Moisture getting into ceilings, walls and floors
- Roof and window leaks that have not stained yet
- Breakers, wiring and connections that run hot
- Missing or poorly fitted insulation and air leaks
- Air conditioning units that are not cooling evenly
Questions clients ask
Can a thermal camera see through walls?
No. It reads surface temperature. A cool or warm patch tells us where to look more closely, and we confirm with other checks where we can.
Are the thermal images in the report?
Yes. The thermal images go into your report with our notes, so you can see what we saw and where.
